FAQs

Our products, in short.

A quick answer for each product — what it is, and where it's used.

Copper wire rod is continuous-cast rod, drawn down from 99.99% pure copper on our own upcaster and rod-breakdown lines. It's the starting point for almost every conductor we make, and is used in cable manufacturing, transformer windings, busbar and earthing work, and as feedstock for further wire drawing.

Fine wire is precision-drawn, bright-annealed copper wire supplied on bobbins, in gauges from 0.180 mm to 0.254 mm (down to 0.160 mm for the finest requirements). It's used for flexible conductors, winding wire, braiding and shielding, and precision cable cores.

Bunched copper conductor is multi-strand copper rope, twisted to a uniform lay on our own bunching machines, in sizes from 0.50 to 6.00 sq mm. It's used for flexible cable cores, automotive wiring harnesses, appliance wiring and panel wiring.

Poly wire is polyester-taped copper wire, taped on our own lines directly after drawing, in gauges from 0.8 mm to 2.0 mm. It's mainly used for submersible pump and motor winding, and transformer coils.

Submersible flat cable is a three-core flat cable, extruded in-house in 8, 9 and 10 gauge constructions from 1.50 to 6.00 sq mm, available in blue and black. It's built for submersible pumps, borewell installations, agricultural pumping and industrial drives.

House wire is PVC-insulated single-core copper wire, produced end-to-end on our own lines in sizes from 0.50 to 6.00 sq mm and five standard colours. It's used for domestic wiring, commercial buildings, panel and control wiring, and conduit installations.

Copper ingots are cast in our own furnace from sorted copper scrap and are the raw material behind our own rod production. They are also supplied directly to other foundries and manufacturers for remelting, rod and billet casting, and alloy production.
